Ralph Catches A Shark

Whatitiri, Maungatapere. Dear Kupe and Princess, It is a long time since I last wrote to you and I suppose you have forgotten me. Now I am going to tell you about my school holidays that I spent at Tinopai, on the Kaipara Harbour. It is' a lovely place to stay. While we were down there I caught lots of fish. I also pulled in a young shark. I had a bit of fun, too. trying to row the boat. I was like you. I caught a few crabs for a start. Of course we have an outboard motor for when we go fishing. We also have a trailer to put on the car so that we can take the boat to whatever beach wc go to. I The day we left Tinopai we caught 117 snapper in two hours. We were in such a hurry to get home with them Dad thought he would take a short cut over seme clay road. It turned out to bo the longest way, for the car skidded so much Dad had to leave it there all night. Luckily we were near home. He took the tractor next morning and pulled the car onto the metal. I don’t think he will -take any short cuts again. f will close now, hoping you are both well, also the? S.P. 1 would like to know what his proper name is. Cheerio for the present. One of your warriors, RALPH EDGE.
