No Tinned Food At Boys’ Camp
Without -the help of the public, who generously provided fresh food for tjhe camp; it is doubtful if the Whangarei Boys’ High School barracks week would have been such a success.
Jahfi, fruit, vegetables, milk, butter apd numerous other articles of good fare for the boys came to hand in mprie than sufficient quantity. Thanks who helped in this way were exposed by those In command. was, so much fresh food was available that there was no recourse whatever to tinned products, this being an unusual thing for a camp of this kind.
Oiying to the success of this year’s cattip it is hoped to have similar occasipp£ in future years. It is some time since local High School boys were under; r canvas in this way.
