A caucus of the Government party is to be held in Wellington on Thursday of next week. Mr J. G. Barclay, M.P. for Marsden, will leave Whangarei on Tuesday to attend the caucus. 9I» * • 1 Prior to opening formal business at the annual meeting of the Maungatapere Sports Club, feeling reference w,as made to the untimely demise of Mr. L. R. Edge. Sincere sympathy with the family and relatives of Mr. Edge, who was a member of the club, was shown by those present- standing in .silence.
