There was an attendance of only 6000 at the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting yesterday; The totalisator handled £23,056, compared with £33,809/10/on the second day last year, , a decrease of £10,753710/-. The investments for the meeting were £63,735, against £82,334 last year, a decrease of £18,599. As a result of, the unfavourable conditions, times were slow, and Cheval do Volee took 2.12 2-5 to run the 1:1 miles in the Ralph Handicap. Concluding results: — Chelsea Handicap, of 350 sovs.; two-year-olds; six furlongs.—(7) Fils do Vaals, 7.4, 1;. (6) Foxtoon, 7.4,. 2; (2) Classic, 9.5, 3. Nine other starters. Length and a-half. a length. Time: 1.18. ; . Haiiraki Plate, of 400 sovs.; one mile.—(B) Silver Quex, 7-7, 1;' (1) Brazilian, 8.7, 2; (2) Balinavar, 8.12, 3. Six other starters. Three-quarters of a length; length and a-quarter. Time: .1.44, Devonport Handicap, of 400 sovs.; six furlongs.—(2) Royal Bachelor, 8.0, If (1) Maori Song, 7.12, 2; (3) Rulette, 7.6, 3. Four other starters. Two and ahalf lengths; four lengths. Time: 1.16 3-5. DEBUT AT RICCARTON. Rebel Lass, an unraced full-sister to the good, but unsound, 'Rebel Song, has made great improvement in the past few weeks, and has being doing excellent track gallops. She is to race at . the approaching mid-summer meting of the Canterbury Jockey Club, whgn the Lyttelton Plate will be her mission.
