Theft Of Union Funds
[Per Press Association. Copyright .] GREYMOUTH, Monday. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, William Pendlebury (40), married, exsecretary of the State Miners’ Union, was sentenced to six weeks’ imprison-
ment for the theft of union funds totalling £IOO/8/10. It was stated that accused was worried over his family’s illness and financial liabilities. He then gave way to drink and converted union funds to his own use.
