The resignation of Celal Bayar from, the Prime Ministership is alleged to have been due to the aeroplane scandal, and also to the allegations of the People’s Party that an influential firm Istanbul ’is receiving commissions tyi the. .pretence of ensuring p'refereiiCe for ’ British tenders under Britain’s £10,000,000 credit granted in 1938.
