The New Zealand film actor, Mr Colin Tapley, who recently arrived in Dunedin to spend a holiday with his brother, underwent an operation on Wednesday, and is seriously ill in a private hospital. He was to have left on his return to Hollywood next month, says (a Dunedin message.
Mr K. R. Stallworthy, a son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Stallworthy, of Epsom, formerly of Dargaville, who has just completed his final year at the Otago Medical School, has been awarded a travelling scholarship in medicine. He gained three medals, the Colquhoun Memorial Medal, a medal for clinical medicine, and one for medicine. His elder brother, Dr. J. A. Stallworthy, who is now at Oxford, also won a travelling scholarship.
