In aid of the Plunket Society, Mrs. J, P. Harrison gave a very successful - garden party at Her -iome at Marua on Thursday afternoon. The beautiful tree-shaded grounds, with glowing masses of colour In the flower bods provided an exceptional setting and the hostess received her guests wearing a black crinkle crepe gown with a corsage of violets. She was assisted ■ by her daughter, Mrs. S. P. Day, who chose a navy sheer frock. Some of the guests who motored from Whangarei were Mesdamcs A. H. Crane, Harold' Cotter, Clinton Jones, G. H. Morrish, J. A. S, McKay, G. W. Bennett R. S, Finch, T. E. Woodman, W. G. Whitmore, A, McPhee, J. G. Campbell. ' t . * • W Mrs. Marsden Woods has some interesting tales to tell of her recent trip
