Anti-Gas Tests At Sandringham Palace

(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, January 26.

Their Majesties, the King and Queen, and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose, and other members of the Royal Family, will tost the Sandringham air-raid precautions on Saturday. The staff and tenants will assist. Three. Royal Air Force aeroplanes will carry out a mock air raid. The Home Office has ordered special anti-gas containers for children under two years of age, who are unable to wear gas masks. It is estimated that 1,500,000 will be required. Special masks are also being manufactured for children between two and four years of age.

It is announced that Mr. R. J. Sinclair. ,a director of the Imperial Tobacco Company, has accepted an invitation to join the panel of industrialists set up to advise the Government on problems connected with the rearmament programme. At Mr. Chamberlain’s request he will replace Mr. Duff Cooper, who resigned.
