Information that the subsidy under Scheme 13 would continue in urgent cases until March 31 has been received by the Hikurangi Town Board, g Earlier information was to the effect that subsidies to local bodies would be withdrawn tomorrow, Saturday, January 28.- . r v At present the board is employing 15 men under the scheme on widening and deepening the Mangawhero Stream, which, fh past years, has been a constant source of flood troubles to the town in'wet weather. The work will be continued as far as possible before the scheme is discontinue^. Seven thousand workers in four London aircraft factories, plan a 90 minute strike this afternoon in support of the demand for arms and food for Republican Spain.
