Breach Of Hotel Workers’ Award

John Hay, licensee of the Kawakawa Hotel, was fined £3 for breaches of the domestic workers’ award when he appeared before Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Kawakawa Court. He was charged by the assistantinspector, of factories, Mr, G. A. C. Adler, with having employed a cook at the hotel at less than award rates, and with having worked the employee concerned for more than four hours on her half-holiday.
