v The. mail notice issued by the Australian Post Office to post offices 'and leading business firms in Melbourne contains a paragraph in regard to the acceptance of New Zealand currency. The paragraph reads: “Postmasters are informed that postal values should not be exchanged for bank notes of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. “Members of the public presenting such notes should be tactfully informed that the Department is unable to accept them. v “If the matter is pressed by the customer he should be referred to the accountant. “Counter officers are required to exercise tact in dealing with.: shis
matter.”
