Good Titles And HalfCrown Prizes
An altogether charming picture, the photograph of the swan and her fam ily. which Northlanders were Invited to title when it was published in our . page some weeks ago, attracted! scores of entries. With such a good subject, warriors and maidens were not at a loss to sup* ply good titles. The only one who had a really difficult task seems to have been the judge. Selecting the four best entries was a job that required lots of care and a very clear brain! Considering that the competition was judged at 6 am. this morning* Headquarters' vouches for the clearness, despite what the Princess may say about early rising. Some of the work was exceptionally good, particularly that of the prizewinners? Half-crowns went to:— LESLEY FLOOD*, Moorewa. Age 13. (“Down” Upon the Swaimee River). lAN G.
