C. W. Boswell, M.P., Resigns Teaching Post
[Special to “Npi'thern r AdkiocKite”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Reasons for school teachers for retiring are of a varied nature. At each meeting of the Auckland Education Board there is a list of resignations for approval. Of course, among women teachers, the main reason is marriage. There are also many who leave the Auckland Education district to come under the jurisdiction of other authorities. 11l health is given as the reason in several cases. But on the list approved at yesterday’s meeting of the board was a teacher who had one of the soundest and most unusual reasons of all. He was the man who was well in the political picture in the Bay of Islands in the October elections.
The entry concerning him reads: “Name: Chas. W. Boswell; position, head teacher, Kawakawa District High School; reason, elected to House of Representatives.”
