Badminton Champion fakes N. Island Title
MASTERTON, This Day. i; With the exception of the combined doubles, all the finals have now been concluded in the North Island tennis
championships. P. Hawksworth, New Zealand badmington champion, played brilliantly to defeat R. Perkins, Wellington, in the men’s singles. Two Hawke's Bay players. Mrs. G. Cotterill and Miss M. Glenny, met in the ladies' final, the latter winning in straight sets.
The men’s doubles was won by the Perkins brothers who beat Painter and K, Dyer in the final.
