Mass Raids Against Bomb Terrorists
(Received 12 Noon.)
LONDON. January 24
Thirty detectives and 10 car-loads of police made mass raids on houses in Manchester throughout the night. It is believed they seized documents relating to the bombings.
Thomas Kelly, a tobacconist, was remanded until February 1 at Liverpool. He was charged with the possession of four lOOcwt. kegs of potassium chlorate for unlawful purposes. The evidence was that the kegs were not found in Kelly’s possession, but traces of potassium which adhered to the kegs were discovered on his premises.
