Father Suffocated When Rescuing Child

[Per Press Association. Copyright. 3 INVERCARGILL, This Day. Robert Fraser, aged about -37 years, died this morning as the result of suffocation, following an outbreak of fire in his home at 4.30 a.m. His wife, three children 'and the housekeeper got out, when it was found that the fourth child had been left inside. The front port of the house was burning ercely, but Mr Fraser returned to the burning building. When the fire brigade broke in they discovered him lying in the hall with badly burned shoulders and face. He was still breathing, but died on the way to hospital. The child, who was rescued in the passage, is making a good recovery from slight burns.
