NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. The following hours of attendance will be observed at the Whangai’ei Post and Telegraph Office during the holiday season:— POSTAL BRANCH. New Year’s Day, January Ist, 1939 (Sunday).—Closed in all branches. Correspondence usually delivered by Postmen may be obtained at the counter between 7 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dcember 31st. Monday, January 2nd. —Closed in all branches. Mails for all permanent offices will be closed at 8 a.m., and be despatched at the usual time. (A clearance of street receivers will be made at 7 a.m.). TELEGRAPH BRANCH. New Year’s Day (January Ist). Closed .all day. Monday, January 2nd. —Open 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. NOTE. —Telegrams should be presented upstairs in the Telegraph Branch, TELEPHONE EXCHANGE. Open continuously.
