SECOND PLACE TO AXMINSTER, The placings for the December Handicap, the second race at Epsom yesterday, were published as: Resistance 1, Gipsy Light 2, and Axminster 3. This should have read: (1-1) Resistance, 1; (2-2) Axminster, 2; (8-6) Gipsy Light. 3. GAY HUSSAR SOLD, The three-year-old Gay Hussar, who hitherto has carried the colours of Mr T. H. Kenny in the Auckland province, was recently sold to a patron of S. Barr, the Riccarton trainer, and is now in his stable. Gay Hussar is Aus-tralian-bred, and was previously trained by R. McGregor at Malamata, Early in his career he was placed twice, one of the events being the Musket Stakes. MISHAP TO WILD CHASE. Wild Chase was galloped on during the running of the Manawatu Cup, and returned to the enclosure with a damaged tendon.
