Motorists’ Remarkable Escape
l Special to “Northern Advocate ”l NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Plunging clown a sheer precipice for 100 feet before striking the bush, through which it lore its way for another 50 feel, a mol or car left the Auckland-New Plymouth road on the ML Messenger section yesterday afternoon. The two occupants of the car had a remarkable escape , from serious injury. The car. which was driven by Mr W. Roy, c£ Dunedin, who was accompanied by his wife, was descending ML Messenger when the driver failed to negotiate a corner. The car eventually came to rest 150 feet below the road level. Mrs Roy received cuts and abrasions on the knee, but Mr Roy escaped with severe shock.
