Dr. Schacht Leaves London
. (Received 2,0 p.m.) LONDON, December 18. Dr. Schacht has left for Berlin. He spent much time at the Bank of England, but he did not meet Mr Chamberlain. He saw certain members of Cabinet and Treasury officials, and made contact with the Evian inter-governmen-tal committee on Jewish refugees. No statement was issued, probably because the result did not justify it. “Reynolds’ News” says Dr. Schacht’s plan of financing Jewish migration was rejected by Britain and America.
