[lndependent Cable Service .] LQNDON, December 16. The International Beef Conference has recommended importations of beef for the first quarter of 1939 as follows: Australia, chilled, 111,760 cwt.; frozen, 323,050 cwt.; veal, 40,140 cwt; offals, 22,580 cwt.; New Zealand chilled, 115,000 cwt; frozen, 100,000 cwt; veal, 45,000 cwt.; offals, 13,000 cwt, Totals, including other British territories, Argentine, Brazil and Uruguay, are:—Chilled, 2,271,781 cwt.; frozen, 589,050 cwt.; veal, 97,742 cwt.; offals, 165,427 cwt.
