Another Community Sing
A further evening in the series of Community Sings arranged by the Hikurangi Methodist Church was held last week. The competitions progressed another stage, and in addition many individual items delighted the large crowd attending. Song leaders were Rev. A. Sanft and Mr C. Smith. The competitions are being judged by popular vote, further sectional results being:— Elocution, children under 14: Audrey Brown. 1: Jean Lomas. D. Lloyd and S. Pickles, equal. 2. Singing, ladies: Mrs Robinson, 1; Mrs Cossill, 2. Singing, young men, open: Robert Tweedie, 1; Jack Pomfrett, 2.
