CRICKETERS PREPARE
; At the annual meeting „of the Maungalapere Cricket Club. Mr J. G. ' Draper presided over a full attendance. The report and balance sheet, which were adopted, showed a satis 5 - factory position. Members are enthusiastic concerning the prospects rfor the coming season. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr W. H. Hawken; president, Mr J. T. Teesdale; vicepresidents, Messrs. H. W. Ellis, J. Stevenson, L. Bell, W. Croucher and J. G. Draper; hon. secretary and ■ treasurer. Mr H. Atkins; club captain, Mr L. Downs; vice-captain, Mr Geo. Thorpe: hon, auditor, Mr H.
