I Special to “Northern Advocate.”l WELLSFORD, This Day.

At the fortnightly pig sale held by Alfred Buckland and Son Ltd. and the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op. Ltd. at Wellsford, there was a keen demand for young pigs. The highest price .for some years for weaners was paid, good weaners bringing 25/-. Largestore pigs were taken by buttermilk contractors at prices up to 40/-. Big store pigs made 35/6 to 40/-; small stores, 30/- to 33/-; slips, 28/-. to 29/6; weaners. 24/- to 25/-.
