London Stock Exchange Depressed
(Received 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, August 29,
The Stock Exchange is depressed owing to the foreign situation. British funds declined slightly. Austrian and German bonds are easier, but Czechs are firmer. Oil, rubber and mine shares are weak. The Paris Bourse also reflected the uneasiness of the political situation, and substantial liquidation was encountered, while in Berlin prices further weakened, though the volume of business was not great.
