NORTHLAND TRIBE

["Advocate" Office, • Water St„ Whaftgarei, ] Tuesday, August 30, 1938. j Hello Everybody— \ Measles to right of us, measles to left of us—dear j me, when: will all these measle bugs depart? We're still getting letters that say "I've just had mi—->' or "My brother has the m ," and it's very worrying. Thanh goodness Headquarters is still free from them and I hope we stay so. Kupe lias something j much more permanent, though horn-rimmed spectacles. I'm getting used to them now, but at first!!! He really looks quite nice, but just so he j won't get too vain, I tell him he looks like a cross between Harold Lloyd and the Japanese Houseboy. The Office Boy is too excited to do anything but j watch the Orphanage Fund list. He's very keen on j winning that bet he made last week. 1 One of this week's donations is particularly j interesting to me, and that's the final donation of 10/6 3 from Bob and Emily Grayson, Kupe and t called in to see these energetic Nbrthlanders on our way back from our Northern trip and we were both amazed to see how small they were. Emily is nearly eleven, j but a very small eleven, Bob is still only six, and yet \ between them they've raised £6/1/- for the j Orphanage. I think they deserve a very special j cheer, don't you? j And here's a reminder. Don't forget the Kamo Women's Institute dance set for Tuesday next, 3 September 6, in aid of Orphanage funds. They hope < to push our total ever so far on, so they deserve j plenty of support. j Cheerio till next week. ,

I Princess, Northland Tribe.
