Hikurangi Hapu Grows
Union Street, Hikurangi. Dear Kupe, I heard that you were ill in bed, so, i£ it is true, I hope you are up and well again. I was unable to attend your last meeting, but it came off wonderfully. The boys have grow in number now and have decided to break away from us girls, so I suppose we will have to buck up and beat them in everything that comes along. I’m sure we will give them a good go.
I think that there are 22 new members, so soon we will have more than a house full,-but, as they say, all the more the merrier.
Are there any more clubs besides ours formed yet? If there isn’t many, you can be sure there soon will be. Well, I suppose I had better close now. Your loving follower, DOROTHY COCHRANE. (Chief, Kia Ora Hapu, Hikurangi).
