N.Z. Schoolboys Outplay N.S.W.

SYDNEY. August 28. The New Zealand schoolboys’ Soccer team outplayed New South Wales to win by two goals to nil. Yeoman scored both goals. It was a bright display on a firm turf. New Zealand was not awarded a single free kick, but was penalised frequently. Yeoman being ruled offside. Yeoman collapsed, and left the field for attention after scoring his first goal ten minutes .after half-time. He headed the ball into the net, and v/as accidentally punched on the nose by the goalkeeper, who attempted to punch clear. Blood streamed from Yeoman’s nose, but he soon returned to the field. The second goal scored by Yeoman came after a brilliant and tricky run by Christopherson and a perfect centre.
The New Zealand managers were satisfied with the team’s exhibition. Two heavy backs were not available owing to sickness.
