Whangaroa Rugby Reps. Reviewed

The trial match at Kaeo on Saturday showed that Whangaroa's strength will lie in their back line. The backs combined well and, in spite of the heavy going, and the wet ball, many good movements were initiated and seldom broke down.

i T. King, at full back, did not dis--1 play his usual form. He has been | playing well in the past and has justified his inclusion for the game at Ohaeawai. A Johns was not playing, but his addition completes a strong threequarter line for Whangaroa. McKeown | and Hora gave a good account of themselves in the trials. At half back. Heki played a sterling game. He showed a fondness for the dive pass, but the manner in which he fed his backs consistently was pleasing. He repeatedly went down before forward rushes and is not afraid of hard play. Light But Fast Pack. When they meet Bay the Whangaroa forwards will have to pack better I ban they did on Saturday. They are a light pack, but given a dry clay should give a good account of themselves, Smythcv who travels from Kerikcri for the games, played well in the tight and line outs and was always up with the ball.
