In the first of two professional boxing contests last evening, Norman Jenkins, of Oamaru, 10 st. 1 lb., gained a points decision over Neville Moulin, of Christchurch, 9 st. 7 lbs., after Moulin had done the greater part of the fighting. The second bout resulted in a victory for Stan Jenkin, list, over Cliff Hanham, of Waimate, 11 st, 2 lbs. In a professional welterweight boxing match at Invercargill last night between Vic Caltaux, of Auckland, and Barney Downs, of Wellington. Downs was awarded the decision after 12 excellent rounds. Caltaux carried the fight to his opponent almost throughout the bout, and won the majority of the rounds. It came as a surprise to a large section of the crowd to find Downs the winner. The decision received a mixed reception.
In a 12 round professional boxing bout at Christchurch last night Dommy Ganzon, 9.3, beat Jack Jarvia, 0:t 4 lbs., New Zealand lightweight champion on points. It wa not a title bout.'
