It was erected by the Empire War Graves Commission to the honour of the Australian Forces in France and Flanders, and to the memory of 11,000 men of that force who fell in the Great War and who have no known graves.
NEW BRIDGE FOR NORTH SYDNEY—Dense scaffolding erected for the construction of a new bridge to replace the old suspension bridge at Middle Harbour, North Sydney. The old approaches are being retained. It is expected that the work will be completed about September next year.
