"Offside King” Returns
One iif the most interesting features cl the game was the return to the field of the Whakapara skipper. Pen King, who led the Maoris alter several weeks' absence from play owing to illness. "Off-side King" was the inspiration of Ids side, and his exhortations to his jaded men in the closing stages, of the game brought, yells of joy from the side-line.
