Ohaeawai R.S.A. Reunion

The annual reunion of the Ohaeawai district branch of the N.Z.R.S.A. was held last night in the Ohaoawai hall. Following the custom adopted prior to last year’s reunion, the wives of returned soldiers were invited to attend. The attendance was between 80 and 90. among whom were 'guests from Taranaki, Kerikeri, Hokianga and Kaikohe branches. The president, Mr P. Brooks, presided. The usual toasts were proposed and responded to and vocal items were rendered by Mrs Stan Robinson and Mrs W. Hammond, and Messrs P. M. Williams, S. Johnson, C. Queen, and C. Phair. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr C. Dickeson and his family in their recent sad bereavement. A most successful function was brought to a close with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
