Oa a firm ground the touring Prince of Manavadar’s Indian hockey team met New Zealand in the second Test match here on Saturday. A crowd of 4000 was present. India soon had play in New Zealand territory after the initial bully, but New Zealand defended well and reversed play to the Indian circle, where N Bowden, the New Zealand right wing, sent in a wild shot. India came away. smartly and attacked strongly down the right wing, but a brilliant save by Hart, the New Zealand goalkeeper, cleared. Hart also was prominent a little later when he had to take a penalty bully, and again saved nicely.
