Despite the loss of 1000 names on the Kaipara Electoral Roll through the recent allocation of boundaries, indications are that this year's roll will be the largest yet compiled. Closing on June 30. one month earlier than in 1935, this year’s list contains 9495 names, an increase of two over 1935's total. In 1931 tbs total was 8952. When the now allocations were made la; t year 3000 names were transferred (Tern Kaipara to Waitemala, while approximately 2000 came into Kaipara from Mars den and Bay of Islands. More Ilian three pages of Smith's appear on the Kaipara roll, the number cf electors of this name being 163. Wil son's come next with 85 and Williams" third with CO. Thompson appears 53 times. Brown and Jones. 52 times. Phillips. 51. Anderson. 46 Taylor, 42 and Bayer. 42, In the colour lino there are 12 Green's, nine White's, eight Gray's, and four Black's.
