The following remits were passed at the meeting of the Bay of Islands subprovincial branch of the Farmers’ Union: —Fairburn-Kaiaka: “That as the age for leaving school is to be raised to 15;’ provision should be made for all children passing standard VI to receive a secondary education.” Kaitaia: “That the Postmaster-General be asked to grant freedom of speech over the air to representatives of the Farmers’ Union."
