Goods Train Derailed By Slip
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The engine of a goods,train was buried by a slip, and 12 waggons were derailed while travelling to Auckland between Paeroa and Waihi at 3 o ? clock this morning. The engine crew and guard escaped injury. No serious damage was done. Traffic will be held up until this afternon. The train ran into the slip from a very high bank, and when the train was pulled up some trucks were on either side of the slip. The second slip came down and buried the engine. Meanwhile train passengers and mails are being transferred by road.
