Parakao En Fete

In spite of inclement weather, which prevented many ears getting through from Whangarei and Dargaville, there was a good attendance of local residents at the donee at Parakao on Tuesday night, held under the auspices of the Parakao branch of the National Parly. Mr Ces Wright made a genial M.G. and everything worked smoothly under a committee comprising Mesdames N. Wilson, C. Coxhead and G. Potley. Winners of the Monte Carlo were Miss C. Coates and Mr W. Martin. Mrs N. Wilson and Mr Davidson were the winners of the novelty dance. During the evening, speeches were made by Mr Rodney Coates and Mr Hunter.
