A Dargaville Move
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] DARGAVILLE. This Day, At a meeting of employers held in the Dargaville Technical School last evening, surprise was expressed that the Auckland Education Board had not supplied the school with equipment, estimated to cost £IOO, for demonstrating electricity and magnetism, as requisitioned for by the supervisor', Mr A. A. Tetley, seme weeks ago. In consequence of the lack of equipment, thei’e is a clanger of this particular class, with‘l7 pupils on the roll, lapsing, as students are losing interest, it was said. Mr T. W. McKay suggested that local electricity firms could assist by • loaning such equipment as they had in slock until such time as the board supplied the requisition. On the motion of Mr W. N. Silich, it was decided that a committee representative of all trades and industries in Dargaville be set up to co-opei’ate with the supervisor. The following were appointed a provisional committee:—Electrical trades, Messrs T. R. Overton (chairman and convenor) and T. W. McKay; plumbers, Mr J. Robertson; motor trades, Messrs G. W. Bradley and W. N. Silich; engineers, Mr A. Brown; and printing trade. Mr C. L. Bagnall.
