Harmonious Collobaration
Harmonious collaboration is acknowledged by the International Dairy Federation to have been responsible for the outstanding success of the Eleventh World’s Dairy Congress, which was held in Berlin last August. The German Reich and Prussian Ministry for Food and Agriculture instituted the office of the Secretary-General, and working committees were entrusted with preparatory and executive work of the congress. Propaganda played an important part in the preparatory work. Early in 193 G there was an announcement in three languages containing the most important facts regarding reports and dates. A few months later a pamphlet referring to the Dairy Exhibition was published in five languages, and was mailed to various countries. In October, 1936, a special press service was inaugurated in five languages for the dairy, professional and agricultural papers. It reported on the development of preparatory work and on dairy industry problems. Seal-stamps, posters, and brief reports in three languages were added in drawing the attention of the public to the congress. A detailed programme, including a special invitation and the necessary card of admission, was handed out in German, English and Frencn w::n spec-ar explanations in the Italian and Spanish languages. This conveys some idea of the work that would be entailed if ever the world’s dairy conference were held in New Zealand,
