Turn and Turn About
Rubber deteriorates, developing cracks and other weaknesses, if stored away in covers, wells, or fire racks unused. Tyres are designed and manufactured for use, not storage, and storage as provided on a car is very far from ideal. Storing tyres is something like storing meat; very special precautions are required. To keep the spare on the car from perishing for want of use, use it. Give the tyres turn about, especially as between righthand side and left of the vehicle. Changing sides gives evenness of wear. rp>
