R.S.A. Supports Defence League

The question of the attitude of returned soldiers, toward the Now Zealand Defence League reopened at the annual meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association yesterday. The subject was taken in committee, and upon re- j sinning in 'open meeting the vicepresident. Mr. B. J. Jacobs, an- [ nounded that’- the following resolution ! had been carried unanimously;— | “In view cf the fact that the bare !• publication ,of the rejection by this ( council cf a remit proposing to express j cur accord with the objects' of the j New Zealand Defence League and' our . cc-operation with the league, may give! rise to a wrong impression, this con- j ference desires to express its utmost ; sympathy with, and appreciation of. j the ■efforts of this citizen body to keep before the whole of New Zealand the vital urgency and importance of ade-| quate defence measures, as indicated in our own resolutions, and its confident I anticipation that the fullest support of j individual returned soldiers will be j given to the establishment of branches i of the leag.ue and territorial associai ions."
