Unsettled Conditions — Special Forecast Mr H. M. Vincent's special weather forecast:— Unsettled with intermittent rain, although there will be fine intervals. North-easterly winds light to moderate, increasing again. Seas rising. A fresh depression is approaching from the east Tasman Sea. Unsettled weather, with further heavy rain, is indicated during the week-end. Temperatures will become very cold. Changeable; Passing Showers The following forecast is issued by die Government Meteorologist for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. today:— General situation.—Though pressure has risen somewhat over the Dominion, it is still low on the west coast of the South Island and relatively low, also, across vthe central and northern Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Moderate to strong westerly to south-westerly winds prevailing. Weathef changeable with passing showers. Temperatures cold. Seas rather rough to rough. (X SUNRISE AND SUNSET.
