Harbour Tragedy: Funeral Of Victims

Four white coffins in two hearses c J aused the traffic to be halted in the. city streets today at the funeral of the victims of the harbour tragedy— Mrs Vera Lawson and her three ycung children. St. Matthew’s Church was crowded for the service, while there were caskets covered with flowers in the chancel. The coffins were carried from the church by workmates of the bereaved father. The passing of the procession to Waikumete Cemetery made a deep impression on the populace.
