Unexcelled Sports Ground At Kensington
When work is completed at Kensington Park, the Whangarei Racing Club will have given the Northland public one of the finest beauty spots in the district, with assets worth at least £BSOO. This 1 view was expressed by Mr. R. G. Hosking, when, presiding at the club's annual meeting last night. ‘ We arc laying out a course that will perhaps be unbeaten in the Dominion," he said. “It is certainly fetter than anything else I have seen. With the wonderful improvements being carried out, the park will be one of the beauty spots of the district, and I am sure we will all be proud of the 1 sports ground we are creating. “If the racing club closed down tomorrow, the public of Whangarei would benefit to‘the extent of about £BSOO as a result of the expenditure we have made in the erection of permanent assets on the grounds,” he added. ~,, „ , j Mr. Hosking paid a tribute ‘to the ; co-operation of the Borough Council in carrying out work at the park.
