Follower Of Hounds Injured

r Special to rrortnem ji(Zvocate.”l . AUCKLAND, This Day. While following the hounds with the Fakuranga Hunt Club at Waiuku, Desmond Davis, only son of Sir Ernest and Lady Davis, fell from his horse after jumping a high fence. He suffered severe injuries to the back. Ho was taken to the Waiuku Hospital in the Countess of Orford’s motor-car. After treatment, he was brought to a private hospital in Auckland. He is expected to be confined to his bed for some time, but is making a good recovery, and a complete recovery is anticipated. Mr Davis had successfully negotiated a fence in company with several riders when the fall occurred, immediately after the jump. While lying on the ground he was fortunate to escape being kicked by his horse, which became very excited and lashed out violently.
