New York. When she finds ho has deceived her she follows him to .Budapest. Upon arrival in Budapest, the embezzler goes for refuge to Dr. Valerio Wilson, a vivacious American women doctor. He persuades her he is innocent, and she shields him from the authorities. Then Steve Macy, American detective, arrives on his (rail. He impetuously falls in love with Valerie, but nevertheless is dolormined to bring the embezzler to justice. Matters are complicated by the intrusion of Count Sander, penniless nobleman who lives by his wits, A series of complications brings the denouement, with its many comic and romantic angles.
