N.S.W. Miners Plan General Strike

The newspapers are giving prominence to plans for a general strike of coal miners, who are demanding; a 20-hour week, a pension scheme for miners, greater safety measures, better protection against dust and other reforms. A conference of the minors’ executive with the colliery proprietors to discuss the claims has been fixed for August 4.
