Three Butter Grading Prizes to North
It is the practice of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Ltd., to present cash prizes annually to the factory managers of those butter or cheese factories ,the output of which secures the highest average grading points over the season. t The period covers September 1 to May 31, and it is a condition of the competition that at least 80 per cent, of the quantity manufactured by the factory is graded by the Government dairy produce graders during that period. The total prize-money amounts to £SO, and is distributed as fellows: — Butter; Ist. £ls; 2nd, £7/10/-; 3rd, £5. Cheese: Ist, £ls; 2nd. £7/10/-. The winners for the period ended May 31 last are: — Butter.—First; Mr J. Booth, manager Northern Wairoa Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd. (Kirikopuni), 94.488 points. Second: Mr C. J. Halligan, manager Maungaturoto Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd., 94.320. Third: Mr C. Denize, manager Kaikche Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd., 94.006, Cheese—First: Mr D. Brazendale, manager Sunny Park Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd.. 92.101 points. Second: Mr L. Marx, manager Cambridge Co-op. Dairy Co.. Ltd. (Hautapu). 91.892.
